About the Role
We are looking for a Appian Developer to contribute to the development, maintenance and enhancement of case management system built on an Appian platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications and workflows using the Appian low-code platform
  • Support enhancements and bug fixes for the Amicus case management system
  • Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and improve processes
  • Assist with system integrations, forms, reports, and workflow development
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

Skills & Experience

  • Around 2 years’ experience developing applications using Appian or similar low-code platforms
  • Understanding of software development principles and Agile delivery practices
  • Exposure to integrations, APIs, SQL databases, and JSON/XML
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team

Java Application Developer

Location: Brisbane, CBD // 2 days WFH
Contract: 9 months
Rate: $100 per hour inc. super

Key Responsibilities:
As the Application Developer, you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the team(s) over which you have responsibility. This includes ensuring you and your team members are aware of and observing their responsibilities and obligations including under relevant OIR HSW policies and procedures;
  • Consistently aim to deliver quality services and/or solutions that meet business requirements and ensure that goals are accomplished in line with business objectives;

Desirable skills and knowledge:
A high level of competency with at least five years’ experience is required in relation to the following technologies and development in Java:

  • Relevant information technology related tertiary qualification;
  • Enterprise Java development (Java 17 or 21);
  • JSF (Primefaces or other component library knowledge an asset);
  • Web development (incl. HTML5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery);
  • Spring 5.x incl. Spring security;
  • Hibernate/JPA
  • Maven
  • Unit and integration testing (Mockito, PowerMock, jUnit);
  • Version control (GIT via Atlassian Bitbucket);
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence);

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly proficient Full Stack Developer to lead the design and delivery of a flagship digital application within the early childhood sector. This is the first stage of a multi-year program and will underpin business-critical operational and administrative functions used across the sector and broader government.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary digital team, alongside UX designers, data engineers, architects, and business analysts, to build a scalable, secure and accessible end-to-end solution. The application spans a modern React front end, .NET backend services, and a PostgreSQL relational database.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build application components across the full stack: UI, backend services and database
  • Integrate with internal and external systems via RESTful APIs and Microsoft Graph
  • Implement authentication and identity management via Azure B2C and SA IDX (myID)
  • Define and enforce development standards across front-end, backend and API layers
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices on Azure DevOps

About you
