The Role: Accountable for leading the operational capabilities that ensure property, metering, and customer information is accurate, complete, controlled, and compliant, this senior leadership role sits at the heart of a large-scale utility’s billing and data function.

The Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing specialist teams across property, meter, and customer information functions, fostering a strong culture of data stewardship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and own standards, processes, and controls to ensure property, meter, and customer data is accurate, complete, authorised, and compliant across the full data lifecycle.
  • Oversee the ingestion, validation, and maintenance of property, meter, and customer data – including integration with external source-of-truth providers – to support billing accuracy and revenue assurance.
  • Provide subject matter leadership for data assurance, quality monitoring, and verification activities, ensuring audit readiness and proactive identification of risks to revenue, compliance, and customer experience.
  • Partner with digital, technology, and analytics teams to deliver integrated operational solutions, contribute to platform roadmaps, and drive incremental improvement across core data and billing metrics.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience leading operational teams in property data, metering, customer information, billing, or revenue-critical environments within a regulated or compliance-driven organisation.
  • Strong capability in data governance, information lifecycle management, and operational assurance, with a track record of supporting billing accuracy and usage-based charging in complex service delivery settings.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement, process optimisation, and automation, with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues and reduce billing exceptions.
  • Experience partnering with digital, enterprise platform, and regulatory teams to deliver cross-functional outcomes, with strong stakeholder management skills at a senior level.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Management, Data, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or data governance certification is highly regarded.

This role sits within a platform-focused programme, supporting foundational builds across AWS, Salesforce, and low-code ecosystems, including AI-driven initiatives.

🔧 The Role

You’ll be responsible for leading delivery across multiple streams, ensuring alignment, structure, and momentum across teams working on:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Salesforce and low-code ecosystems

You’ll operate at a senior level, partnering with stakeholders and leadership to drive outcomes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Lead / PM/ Programme Manager/Transformation Lead in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong background delivering across cloud (AWS), data, or platform programmes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and business units
  • Deep understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, scaled Agile)
  • Ability to bring structure, uplift delivery maturity, and drive performance
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
