An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a large-scale Cyber Security transformation program within a complex enterprise environment.

We’re looking for someone with strong technical capability who can confidently engage with architects, engineers and cyber security specialists to drive technical requirements from discovery through to implementation.

Working across a number of strategic cyber initiatives, you’ll play a key role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements while navigating an environment with limited documentation and evolving technical landscapes.

As the Technical Business Analyst, you will:

  • Lead technical requirements workshops with architects, engineers and cyber security teams.
  • Elicit, analyse and document complex technical requirements.
  • Read and interpret solution and conceptual architecture.
  • Identify technical gaps, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Challenge assumptions and ask the right technical questions to uncover requirements.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Business Analyst delivering complex technology or cyber security programs.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technologies and connect information from multiple sources.

Role Overview

  • Large, multi-year OneCouncil program underway across the organisation, replacing TechOne ERP. The project commenced at the end of July.

  • As resources have been seconded from the BAU team into the project, several gaps have been created that now need to be backfilled.

  • Initial contract is expected to be 12 months, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Approximately 80% of the role is focused on database management and TechOne system configuration.

  • Support the current on-premises environment while preparing for the transition to a cloud-based platform as the OneCouncil project progresses.

  • Manage database administration, system integrations, connectivity, and transition activities.

  • Work across an environment of 100+ servers and 200-300 databases.

  • Assess application dependencies and understand the impact of server or infrastructure changes.

  • Act as the link between business stakeholders, application teams, and infrastructure teams (particularly Systems Engineers) to gather requirements and ensure changes are implemented successfully.

  • Liaise primarily with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, with TechOne being the primary application, although the role supports other business systems as well.

  • Conduct impact assessments for system changes and upgrades, document risks, work with relevant teams to implement mitigations, and support testing activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong database management experience is essential.

  • Experience with TechOne system configuration.
