Seeking a Business Analyst for a large-scale Governance Uplift Program. Must have experience delivering Information Management strategies and enterprise-wide rollouts, with strong knowledge of data governance, classification, retention, and Australian privacy regulations. Expertise in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, process improvement, M365 platforms, and stakeholder engagement is essential.

Experience:

  • Ideally with experience with: Core BA skills, such as data analysis in Excel, facilitating workshops, requirements gathering, benefits identification and realisation.
  • Soft skills, such as those required to effectively communicate complex or technical concepts in layperson terms, and to appropriately manage stakeholder expectations.
  • “As is “process capture and “to be” process design.
  • Lean process improvement to identify areas of waste or areas of a process that can be improved.
  • Working in an agile environment, whilst not necessarily implementing an Agile methodology.
  • Project establishment and closure activities, such as problem identification/definition, development of business cases, identification of project budgets, and operational handover support (including development of associated documentation).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Experience in information management practices, including data governance, classification, and retention.
  • Familiarity with Australian regulatory requirements for information management and data privacy
  • Facilitate workshops as needed.
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365.

Talent is recruiting for a Business Analyst with experience working on AI related projects to join our client on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

About the Role
We are supporting a large-scale generative AI adoption program, this initiative involves the deployment of advanced AI tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and a tailored AI assistant.

The Business Analyst (BA) will play a key role in analysis and delivery support across the program. You’ll partner with business leaders, ICT, and vendors to define needs, shape safe AI solutions, and ensure measurable benefits are realised across the system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery for AI-enabled use cases, including current-state mapping and problem statements.
  • Elicit and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements (security, privacy, accessibility, performance).
  • Define acceptance criteria and success measures (e.g., hours saved, adoption, usage).
  • Facilitate options analysis and recommendations aligned to program strategy and ethical commitments.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to refine user stories and backlogs.
  • Coordinate data readiness and AI content/prompt governance.
  • Identify and manage AI-specific risks (bias, safeguarding, academic integrity, privacy).
  • Support change, training, and communications, as well as pilots and phased rollouts.
  • Plan and execute UAT; coordinate feedback loops with stakeholders.
  • Track and report on benefits realisation to leadership.

About You
Essential skills & experience:

  • Proven track record as a Business Analyst on digital, AI, data, or enterprise platform projects.
  • Strong requirements engineering, process modelling, and facilitation skills.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Copilot, Power Platform, Teams/SharePoint).
  • Experience with UAT planning/execution and benefits measurement.
  • Understanding of data privacy, information security, and responsible/ethical AI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • BA certification (IIBA ECBA/CCBA/CBAP or equivalent).
  • Experience with service design, design thinking, or agile delivery.
  • Familiarity with AI prompt/content governance.
  • Experience in large, multi-site organisations and/or education sector.

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Workday enhancements and implementations? We are seeking a talented Senior Workday Business Analyst to join a dynamic program supporting HR transformation initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, ongoing project with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and People Units to understand and refine Workday processes and design solutions.
  • Develop and document future state designs, ensuring stakeholder alignment and approval.
  • Consolidate extensive documentation across the program for clarity and efficiency.
  • Support testing activities, including test case execution and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Assist in training sessions and dress rehearsals to ensure successful implementation.
  • Work closely with functional leads, alleviating some of their workload through effective analysis and documentation.
  • Engage in continuous refinement, maintenance, and re-design of Workday processes and systems.
  • Adapt to both Waterfall and Agile project environments, with familiarity in Scaled Agile methodologies being advantageous.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a resilient and proactive approach.
  • Be available to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a BA / Consultant / SME, etc. implementing Workday – ideally across either Talent, Succession Planning, Compensation, or Recruiting
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Experience supporting test phases and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a robust personality to navigate a dynamic environment.
