Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS6 Support Need Assessors to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in Charlestown/Lismore/Newcastle/Parramatta/Penrith/Surry Hills/Wollongong. The position is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays $61.86 per day + Super.

7.6 hours per day and 38 hours per week

About the Role

As a Support Needs Assessor, you will work directly with participants, their families, representatives and support networks to conduct comprehensive assessments that inform evidence-based decisions regarding support needs.

You will play a critical role in ensuring assessments are person-centred, strengths-based and aligned with legislative and operational frameworks, helping participants access the supports they need to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct support needs assessments by gathering information from participants and their representatives
  • Analyse, interpret and synthesise information to support evidence-based decision making
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive and accurate assessment reports
  • Apply policies, procedures and operational guidelines using sound judgement
  • Communicate assessment processes and outcomes respectfully and clearly through virtual and face-to-face channels
  • Identify and escalate issues based on complexity, risk or policy limitations
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to support participant planning outcomes
  • Utilise digital systems to accurately capture information and assessment outcomes
  • Deliver assessments across a variety of settings while adapting approaches to individual participant needs
  • Support team capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing

Talent International is currently recruiting Rental Bonds Representative to work for the NSW Government, based in Grafton(On-site). This position is a contract role till end of dec with a view to be extended, and the role pays $42.26 per hour + Super.

5 days on site 9-5

This contract will provide additional operational support to the Rental Bonds team during a period of increased demand. You will manage customer enquiries, process rental bond transactions and provide accurate information in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing accurate and consistent information.
  • Assess and process applications, claims, renewals, variations and related transactions within delegated authority.
  • Ensure matters requiring higher approval are properly documented and submitted in accordance with established procedures.
  • Work across multiple systems to update records, process transactions and progress matters through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible and confidential customer records and data.
  • Explain customers’ rights, responsibilities, entitlements and available services.
  • Apply relevant legislation, policies, procedures and service standards when assessing customer matters.
  • Provide general operational and administrative support to help the team manage its workload.
  • Review more complex matters and refer or escalate them to the appropriate business area.
  • Handle personal information in accordance with privacy, confidentiality and legislative requirements.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in customer service, contact centre, administration, claims processing or transaction-based work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage customer enquiries professionally by telephone and email.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience processing high-volume administrative work accurately.
  • The ability to interpret and follow legislation, policies, procedures and delegated authority.
  • Confidence using multiple computer systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to identify when complex matters require escalation.
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy, process-driven environment.
  • Availability to work onsite in Grafton five days per week from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

  • Appointment and ongoing employment may be subject to satisfactory mandatory pre-employment and ongoing probity screening in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • The successful candidate may be temporarily assigned to other roles under section 46 of the Government Sector Employment Act to support surge operations elsewhere within the division.
