Are you passionate about creating seamless and engaging digital experiences? Join our team as a Digital Experience Designer at Milford, a leading New Zealand investment management firm.

In this hybrid design-and-execution role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day content management of Milford’s websites – but this role is much more than content publishing! You will harness your design expertise and front-end development skills to craft exceptional user interfaces across our digital platforms, including the website, client portal, and mobile app.

You will constantly look for ways to optimise journeys across our digital assets, reduce friction in hand-offs to forms and client channels, and own a backlog of test and improvement opportunities. Working closely with the UX Lead, you’ll translate ideas into responsive, accessible, and on-brand experiences – from ideation through to deployment.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI design or front-end development, preferably in financial services, SaaS, or digital marketing.
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal, including familiarity with back-end integration workflows.
  • Practical experience in content governance, QA, and publishing workflows.
  • Skilled in responsive design with a keen eye for design elements and layout consistency.
  • Competent in Figma for interface design, prototyping, and contributing to design libraries and UX documentation.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of front-end accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience working within Agile or cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with analytics and tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or basic SEO/SEM tracking.
  • Experience building and releasing microsite and campaign landing pages, including tracking set-up.
  • Understanding of UX testing methodologies and a keen interest in iterative design improvement.
  • Basic graphic editing or animation skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).

Education
A tertiary qualification in Digital Design, Front-End Development, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent practical experience.
