Wintel Infrastructure Engineers – NV2/TSPV
Canberra or Melbourne | 12-month contract + 2 x 12-month extensions | Onsite

Talent is seeking experienced Wintel Infrastructure Engineers for long-term contract opportunities within a highly secure Australian Government environment.

This is specifically a Wintel Engineering requirement. While the role has a strong cyber security and security uplift focus, we are looking for hands-on infrastructure engineers with strong Wintel expertise, rather than candidates from a primarily cyber security, GRC or security advisory background.

Candidates must hold a current NV2 or TSPV security clearance at the time of application.

The role
As a Wintel Infrastructure Engineer, you will work across enterprise infrastructure environments, supporting the implementation, management and security uplift of systems that underpin critical digital services.

Your responsibilities will include:

Implementing and managing secure Wintel infrastructure within complex enterprise environments
Implementing security controls to uplift the security posture of systems
Developing SOPs for security and system administration activities
Participating in technical workshops covering infrastructure design and remediation
Prototyping security configurations and developing technical advice
Supporting vulnerability assessment and cyber risk remediation activities

What we’re looking for
We are particularly interested in Wintel Engineers who can demonstrate strong infrastructure engineering capability alongside cyber security experience, including:

Strong hands-on Wintel / Windows infrastructure engineering experience
At least 5 years’ technical cyber security experience
Experience securing and administering enterprise systems
Experience implementing one or more of the Essential Eight Mitigation Strategies
Scripting or application development experience to automate system administration or vulnerability assessment activities
Experience developing tools or automation to assist with cyber risk assessment and remediation

Highly regarded experience includes:

Active Directory security and remediation, including activities relating to the detection and mitigation of AD compromises
Cloud infrastructure experience across Azure and/or AWS

Location: Canberra ACT or Melbourne VIC
Working arrangements: Onsite
Initial term: 12 months
Extensions: 2 x 12 months
Clearance: Current NV2 or TSPV – essential
