Manager, Technology Risk Assurance

Permanent Opportunity | Sydney CBD | 3 Days in Office | Salary up to $195,000

Talent International has been engaged by our long-standing client, a leading organisation within the entertainment industry, to recruit an experienced Manager, Technology Risk Assurance.

Sitting within the Group Risk function, this position will lead independent Line 2 assurance across technology risk, cyber security and key technology controls. It is a highly visible role with direct engagement across senior Technology and Risk stakeholders, including the CIO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, scoping and delivery of Line 2 technology risk assurance reviews.

  • Provide independent oversight and challenge across cyber security, ITGCs, IAM, change, data and technology resilience.

  • Assess control design and operating effectiveness against regulatory requirements and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and COBIT.

  • Identify control weaknesses and translate technical findings into clear business risks and practical recommendations.

  • Prepare high-quality workpapers, findings and concise assurance reports.

  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders through governance forums and assurance activities.

  • Monitor remediation activities and help strengthen the Technology Risk Assurance function.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience across Technology Risk, IT Audit, Cyber Risk or Technology Assurance.

  • Line 2 risk assurance or oversight experience within a large, complex or regulated organisation.

  • Big Four consulting or audit experience will be highly regarded.

  • Strong understanding of technology risks, IT controls and governance frameworks.

  • Ability to assess controls and translate technical issues into business and regulatory risks.

  • Excellent report-writing and senior stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive, confident and comfortable working independently.

  • Gaming or regulated-industry experience and certifications such as CISA, CRISC or CISSP are desirable.
