The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to become one of the first key hires in Australia for a highly regarded global technology consultancy as they establish and grow their local presence.

The business has been built by technology leaders whose experience spans high-growth startups through to Fortune 50 organisations. They’ve taken that collective experience and created a different kind of consultancy – one centred around deep technical expertise, integrity, transparency and long-term client partnerships.

You’ll join at an exciting stage of their Australian growth, initially taking a lead role on a high-profile PropTech engagement in Sydney. You’ll act as the local technical and delivery leader, working directly with senior client stakeholders while coordinating with global engineering teams.

This isn’t a traditional delivery role. You’ll combine technical leadership, architecture, stakeholder engagement and delivery ownership, with the opportunity to have a genuine influence on the company’s future in Australia.

What You’ll Do

• Own technical delivery and become a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders.
• Lead and influence engineering teams across Australia and globally.
• Provide technical direction across TypeScript, Node.js, GCP and modern cloud architectures.
• Translate business priorities into pragmatic technical solutions and delivery plans.
• Guide architecture and engineering decisions, review solutions and challenge technical assumptions.
• Identify risks and dependencies early and drive projects through to successful outcomes.
• Help establish the organisation’s reputation and presence in the Australian market.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be an experienced Technical Lead, Engineering Lead or Technical Delivery Lead who can comfortably move between an executive conversation and a technical design discussion.

You’ll bring:

• Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience.
• Experience with GCP or another major cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed/cloud-native systems.
• Experience leading complex software delivery across distributed engineering teams.
• Confidence engaging with C-level, VP and senior technology stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• A hands-on technical background with the credibility to guide engineers and influence architecture.

Experience in PropTech, real estate technology, consulting or professional services would be highly regarded.
