Talent is currently seeking an experienced Technical Architect / Lead to join a large Queensland Government Department based in Brisbane, CBD.

This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership position responsible for the design, build and delivery of complex enterprise integrations across SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft Azure, legacy platforms and downstream systems. You will lead and mentor a small team of Integration Engineers and Developers while remaining actively involved in solution design, integration delivery and technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the hands-on design, build and delivery of enterprise integration solutions across SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft Azure Fabric, legacy and downstream systems.
  • Own the end-to-end integration architecture and roadmap, collaborating closely with the Data Architect and SAP Architect.
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of Integration Engineers and Developers, including work allocation, design and code reviews.
  • Oversee integration build, testing and deployment, including API design, development and API security.
  • Drive platform modernisation, transitioning and decommissioning legacy integration patterns in favour of modern, sustainable solutions.
  • Design and implement integrations leveraging Azure Fabric, Datahub and related data platform capabilities.
  • Establish integration standards, technical documentation and governance practices.
  • Support data integration, data flow design and data quality across source and downstream systems.
  • Manage technical and delivery risks across the integration workstream.
  • Act as a key technical contact for SAP implementation partners, system owners and downstream consumers.
  • Support System Integration Testing, UAT, cutover and production readiness activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive enterprise IT experience, with the position description seeking 15+ years’ experience, including significant technical leadership and advisory experience.
  • Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale, complex enterprise integrations across modern and legacy environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud integration patterns; Azure Fabric experience is highly relevant.
  • Strong technical expertise across API design, API development and API security.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, with SAP SuccessFactors experience highly regarded.
  • Experience modernising and decommissioning legacy platforms and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Datahub or equivalent enterprise data platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams while remaining hands-on with solution design and delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, vendors, architects and technical delivery teams.
