Systems Analyst
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and detailed system designs
- Initial contract up to 12 months + extension options
- Must hold Baseline security clearance or higher
Join a multidisciplinary technology delivery team working on the design, enhancement and ongoing improvement of complex enterprise systems and digital services.
This is a technically focused Systems Analyst role combining requirements analysis, solution design and software delivery. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, developers and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, feasible system requirements and detailed specifications that support successful implementation.
The Role
Working across Agile and traditional delivery environments, you’ll contribute to the analysis, design and delivery of enterprise applications, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and established architecture standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing business requirements and translating them into functional specifications, technical requirements and detailed system designs
- Assessing solution feasibility, system impacts, risks and alternative design approaches
- Developing and maintaining user specifications, requirements traceability documentation, process models and solution design artefacts
- Working with business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues and support implementation
- Contributing to system and integration testing, quality reviews, defect management and ongoing system improvements
About You
We’re particularly interested in:
- Strong experience as a Systems Analyst within complex government or enterprise technology environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical and functional specifications
- Experience contributing to software and systems design, including assessing technical feasibility and alignment with enterprise architecture
- Strong requirements analysis, documentation and traceability skills, including user stories, functional specifications and requirements baselines
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills across business and technical teams
- Experience evaluating solution options, documenting system impacts and supporting technical delivery
- Experience with REST APIs, service-based architectures, SQL, data analysis, integration testing or test management tools would be highly regarded
