Solution Architect / Technology Architect

One of our clients is looking an experienced Solution Architect for a 12-month maximum-term opportunity, to work remotely from Australia. They are particularly looking for candidates with broad architecture experience across applications, cloud, data, infrastructure and AI, rather than experience limited to a single technology domain.

MUST HAVE – Australian Working Rights

Candidates must have full working rights in Australia and be currently eligible to work in Australia. This includes Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and eligible visa holders with unrestricted working rights.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect in a complex technology environment with a solid blend of technology and business skillsets.
  • Providing strategic thinking around AI and emerging technologies and how they can be practically adopted.
  • Shaping architecture across the Microsoft technology stack and Azure ecosystem.
  • Supporting the evolution of platform and infrastructure architecture, including the transition from on-premises environments to cloud and hybrid-cloud models.
  • Contributing to data management and data strategy, ensuring architecture supports future data, integration and AI capabilities.
  • Designing scalable, secure and resilient cloud and platform solutions.
  • Providing architectural direction across Azure, integration, APIs, platforms, infrastructure, containers and Kubernetes.

Key experience will include:

  • Application and integration architecture
  • Infrastructure architecture – platforms, networking, security and hybrid environments
  • Cloud architecture, particularly Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft technology stack
  • Data architecture, data management and data strategy
  • AI and emerging technologies, including identifying practical opportunities for adoption
  • On-premises to cloud transformation and modernisation
  • Technology strategy, roadmap development and target-state architecture
  • Defining and communicating a clear technical vision
  • Translating business strategy into technology priorities and architectural roadmaps
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to understand technical detail
  • Working with senior business and technology stakeholders to influence technology direction and investment decisions
