Solution Architect - Superannuation / Wealth Mgmt

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in superannuation / wealth management to join its team on an initial twelve month contract.

The organisation is entering the next phase of a major transformation following the divestment of part of its superannuation administration business. You will help shape the strategic technology roadmap and deliver several important consolidation, migration and decommissioning initiatives.

Key programs will include consolidating superannuation products onto strategic registry platforms, rationalising SuperStream contribution-processing providers, supporting the migration of workloads to AWS, and archiving and decommissioning legacy systems. You will work closely with technology leaders, business owners, operations and product teams to translate strategic objectives into practical end-to-end solutions.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Extensive Solution Architecture experience gained within large, complex enterprise environments
  • Strong experience within superannuation / wealth management
  • Knowledge of complex superannuation products, including defined benefit products, would be highly regarded
  • Experience delivering technology consolidation, platform migration and legacy-system decommissioning initiatives
  • Knowledge of superannuation registry platforms and SuperStream contribution processing would be highly desirable
  • Practical cloud architecture experience, ideally involving migration to AWS
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps, solution designs, architecture diagrams, high-level designs and other technical documentation
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure and resilient solutions
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage technology leaders, business owners, operations teams, product teams and vendors
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones
