Snowflake Data Engineer – Cortex AI / GenAI

Talent International is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to develop scalable data solutions and AI-powered analytics capabilities.

This role is suited to someone with strong hands-on Snowflake engineering experience who has worked with Cortex AI, Generative AI and modern data engineering practices.

Experience within banking or financial services will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines and data products using Snowflake.

  • Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes, data models and semantic views.

  • Develop AI-powered solutions using Snowflake Cortex AI.

  • Build agentic AI workflows supporting search, summarisation, recommendations and automation.

  • Develop and optimise SQL, Python, stored procedures, streams and tasks.

  • Implement data governance, metadata, lineage and security controls.

  • Support CI/CD processes and software engineering best practices.

  • Optimise Snowflake performance, scalability and cost efficiency.

  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled analytics solutions.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant data engineering experience.

  • Experience delivering at least two Snowflake implementation projects, including Cortex AI or GenAI.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL and Python.

  • Proven experience designing and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.

  • Practical experience developing AI-powered solutions using Snowflake Cortex AI.

  • Understanding of agentic AI workflows and Generative AI applications.

  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage and security best practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.

  • Previous banking, financial services or regulated industry experience will be highly regarded.
