Site Manager - HV Construction

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of HV electrical infrastructure on a major data centre project in Melbourne’s western suburbs. This is a 12-month contract role with possibility to extend.

The role will focus on coordinating HV cabling, transformer installation and grid connection works, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HV electrical construction activities.
  • Coordinate HV cabling, transformer installation and associated works.
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors and site delivery teams.
  • Coordinate electrical, civil and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor project progress, safety, quality and schedules.
  • Manage contractor variations, claims and site issues.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and engineers to achieve project milestones.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience working on HV electrical construction sites is essential.
  • Strong background in HV infrastructure, substations or grid connection projects.
  • Experience coordinating electrical installation and construction activities.
  • Strong contractor and subcontractor management skills.
  • Understanding of HV construction safety, quality and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience on data centre electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Background in electricity distribution, transmission or substations.
  • Experience coordinating HV testing and commissioning activities.
