Site Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of distribution underground projects. Based out of Brooklyn, the role will require regular travel to project sites across Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate civil contractors undertaking conduit installation and associated civil works
- Coordinate cable hauling, cable installation and reinstatement activities
- Manage contractor variations, claims and commercial matters
- Monitor construction progress against project schedules and milestones
- Ensure site activities meet required safety, quality and delivery standards
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical and commissioning activities
- Work closely with Project Managers, Underground Joiners, contractors and delivery teams
- Resolve day-to-day site issues and support successful project delivery
Key Requirements
- Strong experience across underground electricity infrastructure or utility construction projects
- Experience coordinating civil and electrical construction activities
- Strong contractor and subcontractor management capability
- Experience managing variations, claims and site-based commercial issues
- Good understanding of construction safety, quality and scheduling
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
- Experience across distribution or sub-transmission projects highly regarded
- VESI training/qualifications highly regarded
- Comfortable travelling regularly to project sites across Melbourne’s western suburbs
