Senior Project Manager - Middleware Upgrade

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a major Oracle Fusion Middleware upgrade.

This is a technically complex project involving an integration platform that supports 20+ critical business systems and applications. You will manage delivery using a Waterfall methodology, coordinating internal technology teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the middleware upgrade, from planning through to implementation and post-deployment support
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources and key milestones
  • Coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders and external vendors across multiple systems and integrations
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues and dependencies to ensure successful delivery
  • Oversee project financials, including budgets, forecasts, accruals and change requests
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and communication across technical and non-technical teams
  • Provide regular project reporting across progress, financials, risks and delivery milestones
  • Lead delivery using a structured Waterfall project methodology

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience managing complex IT projects, including end-to-end delivery
  • Strong background delivering technical infrastructure upgrades, application or integration projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and external technology vendors
  • Strong Waterfall project delivery experience
  • Proven capability managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks and dependencies
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Strong project governance, reporting and financial management capability

Highly Regarded

  • Experience delivering middleware or enterprise integration platform upgrades
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Middleware or similar integration technologies
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple business-critical applications and system interfaces
  • PRINCE2 or PMP certification
