Senior Project Manager
Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long standing client, a leading Australian entertainment organisation. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of three critical technology initiatives across Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance and Technology.
This role will suit a pragmatic, delivery focused Project Manager who is comfortable operating in a fast paced, highly regulated environment. You will need to be equally confident working across business, technology, risk and external vendors, bringing structure to ambiguity while keeping delivery moving without unnecessary process overhead.

Location + WFH Flexibility: Sydney, 3 days per week onsite
Day Rate: Competitive market rate

Role Details:
- Take ownership of three concurrent technology initiatives spanning Financial Crime, regulatory compliance and core technology.
- Lead a Transaction Monitoring Rule Uplift, working closely with Financial Crime and Technology teams to modernise AML and CTF monitoring capability, introduce new monitoring rules and improve the organisation’s ability to respond to emerging risks and regulatory expectations.
- Lead the next phase of a Platform rollout, coordinating technology, business and vendor teams while addressing secure data storage, testing, operational readiness, compliance and security requirements.
- Work across Financial Crime, Risk & Compliance, Technology, Cyber Security, Operations and external technology vendors to drive delivery and resolve dependencies.
- Manage project governance, risks, dependencies, executive reporting, testing and implementation activities across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Drive discovery and proof of concept activities, developing practical recommendations, delivery roadmaps and investment estimates where required.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Strong experience as a Technology Project Manager delivering complex, multi stakeholder technology initiatives.
- Previous experience delivering projects within a highly regulated environment, ideally Financial Services, Financial Crime, AML, Risk, Compliance or another regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Experience working across business, technology, risk, compliance and external vendor teams.
- Strong understanding of traditional project delivery and governance, with the ability to produce the necessary project artefacts, reporting and controls without becoming overly process heavy.
- Experience with vendor led technology implementations, discovery activities and proof of concepts.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, challenge where required and drive decisions and outcomes.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, changing priorities and emerging regulatory requirements while balancing delivery speed with appropriate governance.
- A hands on, pragmatic approach, someone willing to roll up their sleeves, get into the detail and take ownership of delivery.
