Senior .NET Developer

NV1 security clearance is mandatory.
12-month contract
3 days on-site per week in Sydney CBD
$750 – $825 per day incl. super

An opportunity is available for a Senior .NET Developer to join a large-scale technology environment supporting a Federal Government client in Sydney.

You’ll be joining an established delivery team working on business-critical applications, with a strong focus on modern .NET development, Azure, APIs and microservices. This is a hands-on position where you’ll have ownership of complex development work while also contributing to technical design and engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop backend applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core
Build and enhance microservices and REST APIs
Develop cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure
Work with Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Storage and Azure SQL
Optimise application performance, reliability and database queries
Apply secure development practices across applications, APIs and data
Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
Contribute to solution design and technical decisions

What we’re looking for:

5-7+ years’ experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core
Strong hands-on Azure development experience
Experience with microservices and REST APIs
Strong SQL/database knowledge
Understanding of OAuth, JWT and secure API development
Experience with Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
