Senior .NET Developer

  • NV1 security clearance is mandatory.
  • 12-month contract
  • 3 days on-site per week in Sydney CBD
  • $750 – $825 per day incl. super

An opportunity is available for a Senior .NET Developer to join a large-scale technology environment supporting a Federal Government client in Sydney.

You’ll be joining an established delivery team working on business-critical applications, with a strong focus on modern .NET development, Azure, APIs and microservices. This is a hands-on position where you’ll have ownership of complex development work while also contributing to technical design and engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop backend applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core
  • Build and enhance microservices and REST APIs
  • Develop cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure
  • Work with Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Storage and Azure SQL
  • Optimise application performance, reliability and database queries
  • Apply secure development practices across applications, APIs and data
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Contribute to solution design and technical decisions

What we’re looking for:

  • 5-7+ years’ experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core
  • Strong hands-on Azure development experience
  • Experience with microservices and REST APIs
  • Strong SQL/database knowledge
  • Understanding of OAuth, JWT and secure API development
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
