Senior Information Management Consultant – ServiceNow

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Information Management Consultant / Information Governance specialist to lead a significant piece of work focused on ServiceNow data remediation, records management and information governance.

You’ll assess legacy information held within ServiceNow, define appropriate retention, disposal and record-keeping requirements, and translate legislative, regulatory and organisational obligations into practical solutions that can be implemented by technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing and legacy information held within ServiceNow.
  • Define information management, record-keeping, retention, disposal and archival requirements.
  • Interpret relevant legislation, regulations, standards and organisational policies.
  • Apply relevant state records retention schedules to determine appropriate retention and disposal requirements.
  • Identify information requiring long-term preservation, legal hold or permanent retention.
  • Develop remediation strategies for legacy ServiceNow data, including archival, disposal and purge approaches.
  • Define business rules for automated retention and purge activities.
  • Review ServiceNow workflows and processes to determine information lifecycle requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in Information Management, Records Management or Information Governance.
  • Strong experience implementing enterprise information governance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of records management legislation, retention and disposal requirements.
  • Knowledge and practical experience working with state records retention schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience with legacy enterprise data remediation.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar enterprise workflow platforms.
  • Experience translating policy, legislative and governance requirements into practical technology requirements.
  • Strong business analysis capability across requirements elicitation, process analysis and functional specifications.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams within large, complex or highly regulated environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction, particularly where governance is immature or ownership is unclear.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, analytical and written communication skills.

Experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 information governance, Enterprise Content Management platforms, large-scale records sentencing, information architecture, data migration or archival initiatives will also be highly regarded.

This is a great opportunity for a senior information governance professional who can bridge the gap between records management, governance and technology delivery, while taking ownership of a complex ServiceNow remediation initiative.
