Senior Functional Consultant/BA

We are looking for two Senior Functional Consultants / Business Analysts to join a large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation program (1 perm & 1 day contract role)

These roles will sit between the business and technology teams, helping shape how Dynamics 365 is designed and implemented across the organisation. You’ll work closely with business SMEs, Product Owners, Architects, Developers and Test teams to understand business needs, improve processes and translate requirements into workable D365 solutions.

This would suit someone who combines strong Business Analysis skills with hands-on Dynamics 365 functional knowledge, rather than a purely technical developer or generalist BA.

Responsibilities

  • Work across a major Dynamics 365 CRM implementation, from early discovery through to go-live.
  • Understand business challenges and translate them into clear functional requirements and solution designs.
  • Run workshops with business and technology stakeholders to understand processes, pain points and future requirements.
  • Analyse existing processes and design improved future-state workflows.
  • Define how business requirements should be delivered through Dynamics 365 configuration and functionality.
  • Work with D365 capabilities including entities/tables, forms, views, workflows, automation, security and data structures.
  • Partner with technical teams on system integrations, APIs and interfaces with other enterprise platforms.
  • Support data migration, including mapping, cleansing, reconciliation and validation.
  • Develop user stories, functional specifications, process maps, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with delivery and testing teams through SIT and UAT, including defect investigation and resolution.
  • Assess impacts across processes, systems, data and users as new functionality is introduced.
  • Support implementation, go-live readiness and transition into BAU.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years’ experience across Business Analysis and/or Functional Consulting.
  • Strong recent experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM implementations.
  • Good functional knowledge of D365 configuration and how the platform can be used to solve business requirements.
  • Experience with Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Strong understanding of data migration and system integration within enterprise implementations.
  • Ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Experience producing detailed functional requirements and documentation that development teams can work from.
  • Comfortable working across complex transformation programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation and production transition.
  • Power BI and Azure integration exposure would be advantageous.
