Senior Engineer // AI & Java

We’re looking for a hands-on Java Engineer to join an integration team, working across application development, automated testing and API testing.

You’ll need a strong Java/Spring background and be comfortable writing, testing and troubleshooting code. Practical experience using AI coding assistants or agents is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java/Spring services and integrations.

  • Write and maintain automated tests to support reliable delivery.

  • Test APIs across functional, integration and error-handling scenarios.

  • Investigate defects and resolve issues across connected systems.

  • Work with engineers, testers and technical stakeholders to deliver changes.

  • Use AI-assisted development tools where appropriate, reviewing and validating generated code and tests.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on Java and Spring development experience.

  • Experience building and supporting APIs and system integrations.

  • Practical automated testing experience, including writing and maintaining tests.

  • API testing skills and the ability to explain your testing approach.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and clear communication.

  • Experience using AI coding tools or agents on real projects.

  • Examples of using AI to support development, refactoring, debugging or test creation.

  • A clear approach to checking AI-generated work for accuracy and quality.
