Senior Business Analyst Integration
12-month contract + 12-month extension option
Locations: ACT, NSW, QLD, SA or VIC

Our Federal Client is seeking an experienced EL1 Senior Business Analyst with Integration project experience to join its Technology Services Division. You will support major technology programs delivering fit-for-purpose ICT solutions that improve the customer experience. This role requires strong integration analysis (eg API’s), business analysis, and Agile delivery skills, along with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

The Role

  • Developing detailed business analysis artefacts, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, UI requirements, scope models, and sequence diagrams
  • Interface and API definition
  • Eliciting, analysing, and documenting complex business and system requirements
  • Facilitating requirements workshops with business analysts, UX/UI specialists and senior stakeholders
  • Mapping current and future-state business processes
  • Identifying dependencies, relationships, and logical implementation sequences
  • Working with multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams (MDT’s) to coordinate and assure system outcomes
  • Acting as a bridge between business units, system delivery teams, and external technology providers
  • Reviewing specifications and solution designs to ensure they meet business requirements
  • Supporting quality assurance through peer reviews, design reviews, and project reviews
  • Managing status reporting, risks, issues and escalations
  • Providing input into UX/UI designs and coordinating relevant design inputs
  • Securing business, technology and solution-provider agreement on confirmed requirements
  • Maintaining knowledge of relevant business domains, legacy systems and emerging agency capabilities

About You

  • Five to six years’ experience as a Business Analyst delivering enterprise technology solutions across complex programs and projects
  • Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and definition skills
  • Experience producing high-quality Agile business analysis artefacts (stories, epics, features)
  • Interface and API definition, EAI (MuleSoft) projects
  • Practical experience with epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, Scrum or Kanban boards, UI requirements, risk analysis, scope modelling, and sequence diagrams
  • Demonstrated success facilitating workshops with senior and multidisciplinary stakeholders
  • Systems delivery experience within multidisciplinary Agile teams
  • Experience working with technology providers and coordinating delivery across business and technical teams
  • Strong quality-management experience, including reviewing specifications and solution designs
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
  • Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
