Senior Business Analyst – Curriculum Management System

Contract until April 2027 | Up to $1,000 per day
Parramatta | Hybrid – 3 days onsite

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a long-term Curriculum Management System initiative within a higher education environment.

This role requires someone with previous strong experience working across digital student systems within the higher education sector, particularly curriculum management and/or timetabling systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead requirements elicitation and analysis for a major curriculum management system initiative.
  • Work closely with academic, administrative, technology and business stakeholders across the university.
  • Conduct as-is and to-be process analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop process maps, requirements documentation, traceability and supporting BA artefacts.
  • Translate complex business and academic requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and build consensus across faculties and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure technical solutions align with business requirements while managing scope and delivery expectations.
  • Support project delivery within established governance and transformation frameworks.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Demonstrated Business Analyst experience within a university/higher education environment – mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with curriculum management and/or timetabling systems – essential.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, process mapping and BPMN experience.
  • Experience developing as-is/to-be processes, requirements traceability and validation frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work across complex academic and administrative stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or enterprise system projects.
