Senior Analyst // Data & Performance

• Contract until 29 January 2027, with possible extensions
• $75 per hour + super
• Parramatta | Hybrid working arrangement

Talent International is partnering with a major NSW Government organisation to recruit a Senior Analyst – Data & Performance.

This role will suit an experienced analyst with a strong background in data analysis, performance reporting and insights. You’ll work with complex datasets to identify trends, improve data quality and provide meaningful insights that support service delivery and organisational decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, analyse and interpret data from internal and external datasets
• Develop performance reporting and insights to support planning and decision-making
• Undertake data mining, profiling and analysis to identify trends and emerging issues
• Develop and improve performance measures, reporting tools and governance processes
• Identify and address data quality, consistency and usability issues
• Use data and insights to identify opportunities for process and service improvement
• Provide analytical advice and evidence-based recommendations to management
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a complex environment

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Strong experience in data analysis, performance reporting or insights
• Demonstrated experience analysing complex datasets and translating findings into meaningful insights
• Experience developing performance measures, KPIs and reporting frameworks
• Strong data mining, profiling and data quality experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate analysis into practical recommendations
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience

Experience within government, human services, housing or another complex service delivery environment will be highly regarded.
