Senior Advisor (Assessments) - Ethical Standards Group
The integrity team responds to suspected corrupt conduct and serious misconduct within a public sector organisation that supports young people.
The Senior Advisor (Assessments) conducts complex assessments and preliminary enquiries into alleged conduct matters. The role also provides advice to employees and senior leaders on sensitive complaints, Public Interest Disclosures and other integrity matters.
Key responsibilities
- Assess allegations of corrupt conduct and serious misconduct, conduct preliminary enquiries, and document decisions in line with relevant legislation and the Public Sector Commission’s Conduct and Performance Excellence (CaPE) framework.
- Prepare referrals to external law enforcement agencies and integrity bodies where required.
- Identify and analyse issues under the Human Rights Act 2019.
- Advise internal stakeholders on corruption prevention and the management of conduct matters.
- Maintain accurate case records in the organisation’s case management system.
- Interpret and apply legislation, policies and regulatory requirements relevant to integrity complaints.
- Receive, assess and record Public Interest Disclosures in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 and organisational procedures.
- Follow service quality and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrate cultural capability and contribute to an inclusive workplace that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
