A leading Australian financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Scrum Masters to support a major transformation portfolio. These delivery-focused roles extend beyond Scrum ceremonies and require a practical approach to setting priorities, resolving blockers and delivering business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coach squads in Agile and Scrum practices and facilitate effective ceremonies.
  • Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, prioritisation and delivery planning.
  • Remove impediments, manage dependencies and coordinate delivery across teams.
  • Constructively challenge assumptions, priorities and proposed solutions.
  • Develop high-level roadmaps and build strong partnerships across business, product and technology.
  • Shape initiatives and prepare work ahead of execution teams.
  • Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects and technology leaders to assess ideas.
  • Clarify business needs, test viability and define success measures.
  • Establish effective discovery, prioritisation and handover processes.
  • Support squads delivering customer and product growth initiatives.
  • Drive delivery through planning, coordination and practical problem-solving.
  • Translate discovery outcomes into executable delivery plans.
  • Resolve blockers and manage dependencies across insurance platforms, finance systems and pricing products.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Senior Scrum Master within complex technology environments.
  • Preferred Insurance, Banking or regulated financial services experience.
  • Demonstrated Agile coaching, facilitation and continuous improvement capability.
  • Experience managing backlogs, priorities, dependencies and cross-team delivery.
  • Confidence working with business and technical stakeholders and challenging decisions constructively.
  • Ability to develop practical roadmaps and work within a hybrid Agile environment.
  • Strong judgement, resilience and adaptability when managing ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Exposure to insurance pricing, finance systems, customer products or complex integrations.
  • Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master or SAFe certification.
