Senior Software Engineer

Location: Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane
Contract: Up to 12 months, with extension options up to a further 24 months
Start: January 2027
Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development activities and deliver reliable software solutions within a large, complex environment.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, test and maintain software applications.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentor other developers.

  • Support system integration, releases and production deployments.

  • Resolve complex technical issues and improve code quality.

  • Work with business and technical teams to deliver practical solutions.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong software development and technical leadership experience.

  • Experience across software design, testing, integration and deployment.

  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience in a large organisation.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, UI5, ABAP, Angular or Node.js is desirable.

Working arrangements: Onsite for the first six weeks, unless otherwise negotiated. Hybrid arrangements may then be considered.
