About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a growing national projects team delivering complex electrical and communications projects across NSW.

With a strong pipeline of work across Defence, data centres, critical infrastructure and major commercial environments, this is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical PM looking to step into larger, technically interesting projects with long-term career potential.

Defence experience is not essential. We are particularly interested in Project Managers who have delivered electrical projects within data centres, commercial fit outs, critical infrastructure, industrial environments or other technically complex sites.

Please note, Australian Citizenship and the ability and willingness to obtain Baseline and NV1 AGSVA Security Clearances are essential requirements for this position. Applicants must also be based in NSW. Applications that do not meet these requirements cannot be considered.

The Role

You will take ownership of multiple electrical projects across the full project lifecycle, from estimating and planning through procurement, delivery, commissioning and handover.

Projects can range up to $5M+, giving you exposure to technically complex environments while working closely with electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal delivery teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing electrical installation and fit out projects from planning through to completion
• Taking ownership of project budgets, forecasts, variations and commercial performance
• Coordinating electricians, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
• Supporting estimating, quoting, procurement and project planning
• Managing project programs, milestones and delivery schedules
• Building strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders
• Overseeing commissioning, handover and project close out
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Managing multiple concurrent projects across a strong and growing pipeline

What We’re Looking For

• Electrical trade background, electrical qualifications or strong technical electrical experience
• Proven experience delivering electrical projects in a Project Manager capacity
• Experience across electrical installation, commercial fit out, data centres, critical infrastructure, Defence or similarly complex environments
• Strong commercial capability across estimating, budgets, forecasting and variations
• Experience managing electricians, subcontractors and suppliers
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills
• Must currently be based in NSW
• Australian Citizenship is essential
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain Baseline and NV1 AGSVA Security Clearances

Previous Defence project experience, on base exposure or an existing Baseline or NV1 clearance would be highly regarded, but Defence experience is not essential.

Candidates coming from data centres, critical infrastructure, large scale commercial electrical fit outs or other technically complex environments are strongly encouraged to apply.
