Our client is currently recruiting for a Project Director to lead the stage 2 development activities to inform a gate 3 business case for a future Financial and Procurement Management System (FPMS).
The Project Director will be responsible for leading the cross functional evaluation of options for the future replacement, enhancement, or transformation of financial and procurement management systems. Working closely with subject matter experts and functional owners across Finance, Procurement, Digital & Information, and the wider business, the role will facilitate requirements definition, solution assessment, market engagement, proof-of-concept activities, procurement planning, governance, and business case delivery.

In consultation with Finance and procurement the role will establish and lead a structured solution assessment and validation program, including requirements definition, market engagement, vendor evaluations, and strategic “steel thread” proof-of-concepts, to validate critical capabilities, identify the preferred solution, and provide the evidence base for executive investment, procurement, and implementation decisions.
The role will work in close partnership with Procurement, Finance, Technology and business stakeholders to develop and execute the sourcing approach, evaluate potential solutions and implementation partners, and establish a clear roadmap for delivery. The Project Director will apply project and program management best practices to ensure activities are delivered in accordance with organisational governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, and reporting requirements.
The role requires strong leadership, initiative, commercial acumen, and a proven track record delivering successful enterprise transformation programs.
