Product Owner – Web & Digital Experience

About the opportunity

We’re partnering with an established Auckland organisation with a diverse portfolio of well-known brands.

You’ll own the direction, performance and continuous improvement of a diverse website portfolio, helping people discover and connect with Auckland’s destinations, experiences and events.

Combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, you’ll bring users, business stakeholders and delivery teams together to prioritise the work that creates the most value.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and maintain a one-to-two-year product strategy and prioritised roadmap.

  • Lead discovery to understand user needs, define opportunities and establish clear success measures.

  • Translate priorities into deliverable initiatives, user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Use analytics, research and feedback to improve engagement, conversion and self-service.

  • Champion usability, accessibility, content, SEO and the end-to-end customer experience.

  • Work closely with marketing, content, design and technology teams, alongside external delivery partners.

  • Manage competing priorities, dependencies, product health and technical debt.

  • Contribute to vendor management, budgets and business cases.

  • Identify practical opportunities for AI to improve website experiences and digital discoverability.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have at least five years’ experience developing, delivering and improving digital or web products, ideally including three or more years as a Product Owner or Product Manager.

We’re particularly interested in experience with:

  • Owning or optimising public-facing websites in a complex organisation.

  • Product strategy, roadmaps, discovery and backlog prioritisation.

  • Customer-centred design, user research and measurable improvements.

  • CMS platforms, web analytics, SEO, accessibility and system integrations.

  • Agile delivery and working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Managing senior stakeholders, vendors and competing business needs.

  • Emerging AI trends and their potential application to web experiences.

You’ll be a clear communicator who can explain the value behind a decision, make thoughtful trade-offs and keep teams focused on outcomes.
