Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Program Architect to provide architecture leadership across a major technology program within the utilities sector. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary architecture stream across discovery, target-state design and delivery within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architects across solution, integration, data, security and infrastructure
  • Assess current systems, integrations, data and architecture gaps
  • Define target and interim architecture and transition pathways
  • Establish architecture governance, standards and assurance checkpoints
  • Assess technology options, dependencies, risks and migration approaches
  • Guide detailed solution, integration, data and implementation designs
  • Engage senior business, technology, vendor and delivery stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery aligns with enterprise architecture and technology standards

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Lead, Program, Chief or Senior Solution Architect
  • Strong experience delivering major enterprise transformation programs
  • Utilities or energy industry experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary architecture teams
  • Strong current-state, target-state and transition architecture capability
  • Experience across complex cloud and on-premise environments
  • Strong architecture governance and design assurance experience
  • Excellent senior stakeholder and vendor management capability

Highly Regarded

  • Electricity distribution or energy retail experience
  • Knowledge of Australian energy market processes
  • Exposure to SAP IS-U, Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, Itron or webMethods
  • Experience working with systems integrators and technology vendors
