Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to provide leadership across a major enterprise transformation program. This role is less about being the most technically specialised BA and more about leading and uplifting the BA capability, ensuring consistency and quality across multiple workstreams.

You will provide direction to a team of Business Analysts while remaining close enough to delivery to step in on complex requirements, stakeholder or process challenges when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide day-to-day direction to Business Analysts across multiple workstreams
  • Establish consistent BA standards, methodologies, templates and ways of working
  • Review and assure the quality of requirements, process maps, user stories and impact assessments
  • Coach and mentor BAs, supporting capability development and delivery performance
  • Manage BA priorities, workload and dependencies across the program
  • Facilitate complex workshops and support resolution of cross-functional requirements
  • Partner with Project Managers, Architects, Technology Leads and business stakeholders
  • Identify gaps, risks and dependencies across workstreams and drive them through to resolution
  • Provide visibility of BA progress, priorities and issues to program leadership

Key Requirements

  • Significant experience as a Lead Business Analyst / Principal Business Analyst on large transformation programs
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and providing direction to BA team
  • Strong understanding of BA frameworks, requirements management and process analysis
  • Experience establishing and improving BA governance, standards and ways of working
  • Strong workshop facilitation and senior stakeholder management capability
  • Comfortable challenging requirements and ensuring a high standard of BA deliverables
  • Experience working across large, complex technology and business transformation programs
  • Utilities experience highly regarded but not essential
