Integration Developer
Our client, a leading insurer, is seeking an Integration Developer to join their Auckland-based team. You’ll build and support APIs, integrations, and automation, working closely with engineers, QA, DevOps, and architecture.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support applications, APIs, integrations, and supporting services
- Build integration solutions across modern stacks (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, and front-end applications)
- Integrate with SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce and other business systems)
- Develop and maintain automated tests (unit/integration/regression where appropriate)
- Participate in code reviews and uphold strong standards in quality, security, performance, and maintainability
- Support releases (deployments, smoke testing, validation, post-release monitoring)
- Troubleshoot defects/incidents and provide production support
- Partner with DevOps to ensure solutions are deployable, observable, and operationally ready
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement across delivery practices
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in software development, integration, or related roles
- Strong experience building REST APIs, integrations, and service-based solutions
- Experience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.js
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated deployments, and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Understanding of secure coding practices and source control processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Comfort leveraging AI-assisted tools/agents to support development, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery
