Infrastructure Engineer - Server & Storage

This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong expertise in enterprise server and storage environments, virtualisation, Linux administration and automation. You will play a key role in maintaining, optimising and supporting critical IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise server and storage infrastructure.

  • Support Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation and SAN/NAS environments.

  • Develop and implement scripts and automation to improve infrastructure efficiency.

  • Support backup, disaster recovery and infrastructure security.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in enterprise infrastructure, server/storage engineering or consulting.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation and SAN/NAS technologies.

  • Experience in scripting (Powershell), automation and infrastructure-as-code.

  • Understanding of Linux automation and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) will be highly regarded.

  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, networking and infrastructure security.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience within the mining or resources sector.

  • Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud environments.

  • Experience with Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE or Pure Storage.

  • Knowledge of Veeam or Commvault backup solutions.

  • Familiarity with Git, monitoring tools and automation frameworks.

  • Relevant IT certifications or qualifications.

With an immediate / ASAP start, preference will be given to candidates currently based in Western Australia (Perth). Candidates wanting to work from interstate (remotely) will not be considered.
