Our client is a well-established public-sector organisation delivering essential administrative and support services within Queensland.

About the role

This is a hands-on finance position sitting between a transactional Finance Officer and Senior Finance Officer. You will support accurate, timely financial operations while working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain strong financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, including payment runs, invoices, purchase orders and debtor follow-up
  • Review and process employee expense claims and reimbursements using ExpenseMe
  • Use TechnologyOne to process financial transactions, maintain records and assist with reporting
  • Complete bank, general-ledger and other account reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end activities, including journals, accruals, coding and financial-data analysis
  • Respond to finance queries and provide guidance on financial policies, processes and approvals
  • Support continuous improvement across finance procedures and systems

Requirements

  • Previous Queensland State Government finance experience is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated TechnologyOne and ExpenseMe experience is essential
  • Strong AP/AR, reconciliations, journals and month-end finance-support experience
  • Confidence using Excel and finance systems to analyse and maintain accurate data
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities
