About the role
This is a hands-on finance position sitting between a transactional Finance Officer and Senior Finance Officer. You will support accurate, timely financial operations while working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain strong financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, including payment runs, invoices, purchase orders and debtor follow-up
- Review and process employee expense claims and reimbursements using ExpenseMe
- Use TechnologyOne to process financial transactions, maintain records and assist with reporting
- Complete bank, general-ledger and other account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end activities, including journals, accruals, coding and financial-data analysis
- Respond to finance queries and provide guidance on financial policies, processes and approvals
- Support continuous improvement across finance procedures and systems

Requirements
- Previous Queensland State Government finance experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated TechnologyOne and ExpenseMe experience is essential
- Strong AP/AR, reconciliations, journals and month-end finance-support experience
- Confidence using Excel and finance systems to analyse and maintain accurate data
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities
