About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a major Australian Government-owned organisation responsible for delivering critical aviation infrastructure and technology services across the country.

The organisation is undertaking a significant technology modernisation program, replacing existing Air Traffic Management systems with advanced solutions that process and display real-time aviation information across major Australian airports.

We are seeking two Engineering Specialists to support the design, integration, testing and implementation of these mission-critical systems, ensuring their technical readiness, reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver systems engineering activities across the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Support system design, development, integration, installation, testing and verification.

  • Develop and review technical specifications, system design documents, test plans and engineering artefacts.

  • Investigate complex technical issues and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

  • Manage configuration, technical changes and engineering risks throughout implementation.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, technical vendors and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent recognised qualification.

  • Demonstrated systems engineering experience across complex technology environments.

  • Strong background in software systems design, integration, testing and implementation.

  • Experience with quality assurance, configuration management and technical documentation.

  • Ability to work with technical stakeholders, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Highly desirable: Experience with real-time systems, distributed architectures, message handling or safety-critical technology environments.

  • Previous exposure to aviation, Air Traffic Management systems, DO-278A or government technology programs would be advantageous.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant technology transformation, working on complex, real-time systems that directly support the safety and efficiency of Australia’s aviation network.

You’ll work alongside specialist engineering teams on a major modernisation program, gaining exposure to critical infrastructure and advanced systems engineering.
