EL2 Domain Architect (Data)
Federal Government Contract | 12 Months + 12-Month Extension | Hybrid
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Lead Domain (Data) Architect with a strong background in Enterprise Architecture and Data Architecture to provide strategic architectural leadership within a large, complex technology environment.
The organisation is making a significant investment in modernising its technology landscape, moving away from monolithic platforms towards a best-of-breed architecture and technology approach. This role will play an important part in defining the target state and ensuring future data and technology investments align with enterprise architecture principles and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate data domain architecture, target state and strategic roadmaps.
- Support the transition from monolithic platforms to modern, best-of-breed solutions.
- Provide enterprise and domain architecture leadership across major programs and projects.
- Establish architecture principles, patterns, standards and governance.
- Translate organisational strategy and business requirements into architectural direction.
- Review solution designs and identify dependencies, risks and opportunities across the enterprise.
- Work with enterprise, solution and security architects, data engineering leaders and delivery teams.
- Provide authoritative architectural advice to senior executives and governance forums.
- Lead complex architectural decisions and technology trade-offs.
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience designing and delivering complex enterprise data initiatives and solutions.
- At least 3 years in a Principal Architect, Enterprise Architect, Domain Architect or equivalent senior architecture role.
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience, including architecture principles, standards, patterns and governance.
- Strong Data Architecture experience across data management, MDM, RDM, data modelling and data security.
- Experience defining target-state architecture and strategic transformation roadmaps.
- Experience modernising complex or legacy technology environments and moving towards best-of-breed solutions highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of architectural dependencies, interoperability and integration across complex environments.
- Excellent executive stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
- Australian Government or other large, complex enterprise experience highly regarded.
- TOGAF, Azure, AWS or relevant architecture certifications advantageous.
Contract Details
12 months + potential 12-month extension
Australian Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance
