EL1 Mobile Developer
Talent International is currently recruiting for an EL1 Mobile Developer to work for one of our Federal Government clients at one of its multiple office locations across NSW. The position is 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role pays $1100 to $1250 per day + Super.
7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week
Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1
About the role
As an EL1 Mobile Developer, you will deliver complex, high-quality mobile solutions in a collaborative Agile environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, Business Analysts, Project Leads and QA teams to design, build, deploy and support mobile applications, systems and integrations.
This role requires strong technical judgement, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy and support mobile applications, systems and integrations.
- Develop secure, accessible and high-performing mobile solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with architectural principles, integration best practice and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Work with QA teams to support early test coverage through a shift-left approach.
- Resolve technical issues with cross-functional teams.
- Deliver pragmatic, value-for-money solutions that meet business needs.
Essential experience
- Extensive experience developing and releasing Android and iOS applications using React Native and TypeScript, ideally with Expo.
- Experience bridging React Native applications to native layers using Kotlin, Java, Swift and Objective-C, preferably through Expo modules.
- Strong experience maintaining quality across large and complex codebases.
- Experience developing accessible mobile applications in line with Apple, Google and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
- Ability to develop automated unit, component, integration and functional tests.
- Experience working closely with QA teams on integration and end-to-end testing.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with back-end APIs using REST and GraphQL, including authentication and performance-monitoring services.
- Experience converting UI designs into mobile components and partnering with UI/UX designers.
Desirable experience
- Experience using AI tooling and spec-driven development practices.
- DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Artifactory and HashiCorp Vault.
- Back-end development experience using technologies such as Golang, JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience across the full SDLC, including technical design, deployment, code reviews and long-term support.
- Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster where required.
