EL1 Technical Business Analyst – Data & Integrations

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a major data and analytics transformation program. This role will act as the link between business and technology teams, converting complex business requirements into clear data integration requirements, API mappings and technically actionable outcomes.

The opportunity

  • Must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance

Key responsibilities

  • Lead business and technical requirements elicitation across a large and complex transformation program.
  • Translate business requirements into data integration requirements, interface specifications and API mappings.
  • Capture functional and non-functional requirements covering data, security, privacy, performance and compliance.
  • Facilitate workshops with business, data, architecture and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop process flows, data flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and conceptual solution designs.
  • Review technical solution designs to confirm alignment with agreed requirements and business outcomes.
  • Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing and solution validation.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and manage epics, user stories and backlogs within an Agile environment.

About you

  • Strong experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst within large-scale, complex programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business needs into detailed data integration and API requirements.
  • Experience analysing integrations, APIs and complex enterprise technology ecosystems.
  • Strong requirements elicitation and modelling skills, including BPMN, user stories and traceability.
  • Experience working within enterprise data, reporting or analytics programs.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or Python would be highly regarded.
