We are seeking experienced Security Analysts and Senior Security Analysts to support a highly sensitive Australian Government investigative environment in Canberra. Working across digital forensics, data analysis and investigative support, you will help analyse electronic evidence and large datasets to support complex investigations and informed decision-making.

This opportunity is suitable for professionals operating across SCAD4 and SCAD5 levels, with senior candidates taking greater responsibility for workflow management, process improvement and quality assurance.

Your duties will include:

  • Conduct and support digital forensic and incident-response investigations using eDiscovery and specialist forensic technologies.

  • Identify opportunities to improve investigative processes through new methodologies, technologies and automation.
  • At the senior level, manage workflows, review the quality of work undertaken by others and conduct quality-assurance activities.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in digital forensics, incident response, eDiscovery, investigative analysis or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and analysing large volumes of sensitive or evidentiary data.
  • Practical experience with Nuix, Elasticsearch or equivalent forensic/search and analytics technologies.
  • Sound understanding of data integrity, evidence handling, information sharing requirements and relevant organisational procedures.
  • Experience translating complex technical findings into clear investigative findings and reports.
  • ICT, digital-forensics or relevant specialist certifications will be highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations would be advantageous.

Please note: these positions are Canberra based and onsite only. Due to the nature of the environment, candidates must already hold and be able to maintain an Australian Government TSPV security clearance.

Application Process: If you are an experienced digital forensics, investigative analytics or security professional with the required clearance, we would be interested in speaking with you about both the Security Analyst and Senior Security Analyst opportunities.
