Developer (Autonomy) - 12 month contract - Mining - Hybrid

Our client is looking for a Developer to join an autonomy-focused software engineering team. This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can work effectively within an established codebase, follow technical direction and produce reliable, maintainable and testable software.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver production-quality code within assigned components using established standards, testing practices and review processes.

Implement solutions in line with provided technical direction and design constraints.

Ensure delivered code meets defined acceptance criteria.

Address defects within assigned components.

Apply appropriate testing before delivery.

Raise constraints, technical issues or ambiguities identified during implementation.

Contribute effectively to peer code reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

Understanding of GenAI coding assistants and agentic development workflows.

3-5 years of experience implementing non-trivial software changes within an established codebase.

Working knowledge of C#, .NET, React / Redux and TypeScript.

Experience with container-based application environments.

Understanding of component interfaces, dependencies and integration points.

Practical software testing and debugging capability.

Strong understanding of readability, maintainability and testability.

Ability to implement features and fixes with minimal supervision.

Ability to recognise when issues exceed implementation scope.

Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
