Our client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support a major technology program within the utilities sector. You’ll shape target-state data architecture and provide expertise across data modelling, governance, integration and migration within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing data models, flows, mappings and data quality
  • Define business data domains, key objects and conceptual/logical models
  • Establish data ownership, mastership, lineage and governance requirements
  • Define target and interim data architecture
  • Develop canonical definitions and target mastership arrangements
  • Define data migration architecture across extraction, cleansing, transformation and reconciliation
  • Align APIs, event payloads, reporting and downstream data requirements
  • Work across business, architecture, technical and vendor teams

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Data Architect within large enterprise transformation programs
  • Strong conceptual and logical data modelling capability
  • Experience across master data, metadata, lineage, data quality and governance
  • Strong data migration and integration architecture experience
  • Ability to translate business processes into data requirements and architecture
  • Experience working across complex enterprise technology environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills

Highly Regarded

  • Utilities, energy or regulated industry experience
  • Australian energy market and metering data knowledge
  • SAP IS-U or similar enterprise platform experience
  • Exposure to AWS, Redshift, Databricks, Salesforce, Itron, Oracle Fusion or webMethods
  • Experience supporting complex phased migrations
