Data Engineers – Azure / Cloudera

Melbourne preferred | NV1 minimum | NV2 highly regarded | Onsite 3-5 days per week

We are seeking two experienced Data Engineers to support a large-scale Federal Government data platform. These roles will suit engineers with strong experience across Azure data services, Cloudera and modern data engineering technologies.

Data Acquisition Data Engineer – DENG 4-5

This role will focus on acquiring and moving data from source systems into the enterprise data platform landing zone.
Mandatory experience:

• 1+ years Azure Data Factory
• 1+ years Apache NiFi
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Active NV1 clearance or higher
• Ability to work onsite at a Defence establishment 3-5 days per week

Highly regarded: NV2, Melbourne location, Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Apache Iceberg and Cloudera.

Data Product Development Data Engineer – DENG 5-6

This role will focus on transforming raw data, integrating datasets and developing enterprise data products.
Mandatory experience:

• 1+ years Apache Spark / Python
• 1+ years Azure DevOps
• 1+ years Apache NiFi
• Apache Iceberg
• Active NV1 clearance or higher
• Ability to work onsite at a Defence establishment 3-5 days per week

Highly regarded: NV2, Melbourne location, Cloudera, Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Cloud experience.
