Cyber Security Operations Expert

• Lead high-severity cyber investigations, threat hunting and incident response across cloud and enterprise environments
• 18-month contract + 18-month extension
• Must hold NV1 security clearance or higher

Take on a senior cyber operations role focused on protecting complex technology environments through threat detection, incident response, cloud security and active defence.

You’ll operate as a senior technical escalation point across cyber operations, leading investigations and helping improve the people, processes and defensive tools used to identify and respond to threats.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading proactive monitoring, investigation and mitigation across Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Centre and Splunk
• Leading incident response, threat hunting and forensic investigations for complex security events
• Analysing network and system data to identify suspicious or malicious activity
• Acting as an escalation point across cloud security, active defence and threat mitigation
• Mentoring junior staff and helping improve defensive tools, processes and operational capability

About You

We’re particularly interested in:

• 7+ years’ IT or cyber security experience, including senior technical or architectural responsibility
• Direct experience leading high-severity incidents, threat hunting and crisis response
• Strong experience across AWS, Azure, ZTNA and DevSecOps
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms, incident response frameworks and threat intelligence
• Strong understanding of NIST, ISO 27001, Essential Eight and ISM
• The ability to operate comfortably at both technical and stakeholder level
