An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major ERP review and transformation program within a complex, highly regarded organisation.
This role will play a key part in reviewing the organisation’s current Workday environment and supporting a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process to determine the best future-fit solution across Finance, HR, Procurement and Payroll.
Working closely with the Senior Business Analyst, Solution Architect, Program Manager and key business stakeholders, you will translate business needs into clear requirements and help ensure potential technology solutions are evaluated against genuine business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders across Finance, HR, Procurement and Payroll to understand current processes, pain points and future requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Document business and functional requirements, process maps, user stories and gap analysis.
- Review the current Workday environment and identify gaps between existing functionality and business needs.
- Develop and maintain the requirements register supporting the ERP RFP process.
- Assist with RFP documentation, evaluation criteria and vendor scoring frameworks.
- Assess vendor responses against documented business and functional requirements.
- Coordinate vendor demonstrations, workshops and Q&A sessions.
- Support testing and validation of proposed vendor solutions and proof-of-concept outcomes.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for senior stakeholders and project governance groups.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will ideally bring:
- Proven Business Analyst experience within complex organisations, involving ERP or enterprise platform programs.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis and functional specifications.
- Experience supporting RFP, procurement or vendor evaluation processes.
- Knowledge of ERP, HCM or Finance platforms, with Workday experience highly regarded.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver within tight project timelines.
- Experience with Power BI and/or SQL would be advantageous.
- Previous experience within research, education or healthcare environments would also be beneficial.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time FTE 12-month based on-site in Melbourne, offering the opportunity to contribute to a significant enterprise technology decision and transformation program.
You will work with senior stakeholders across the organisation and play an important role in shaping the requirements and evaluation process that will determine the organisation’s future ERP direction.
