Business Analyst - (Digital Customer & Loyalty)

  • Australia
  • Brisbane
  • Contract
  • AU$840 - AU$940 per day + INC Super

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major Australian organisation delivering customer-facing digital initiatives across its travel and loyalty portfolio.

Working within the Customer and Loyalty stream, you will help shape digital experiences that support how customers research, book, manage and engage with travel products and loyalty services.

This is a highly visible role operating across business, product and technology. You will bring structure to complex initiatives, translate customer and commercial needs into clear delivery requirements, and ensure proposed solutions are practical, testable and aligned with the intended business outcomes.

The Opportunity

You will provide end-to-end Business Analysis support across a portfolio of concurrent digital initiatives.

Beginning with discovery, you will work with stakeholders to understand the underlying problem, customer need and commercial objective. You will then translate these findings into well-defined processes, requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery teams.

The role requires more than requirements documentation. You will be expected to analyse customer journeys, business processes, data needs, system interactions and dependencies while supporting delivery through design, development, testing and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and requirements elicitation across customer-facing digital initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops with product, commercial, operational and technology stakeholders.
  • Analyse current-state customer journeys, business processes and system interactions.
  • Define future-state processes and identify opportunities to simplify or improve the customer experience.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, non-functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Document business rules, process flows, system dependencies, data requirements and exception scenarios.
  • Work with product owners to structure, refine and prioritise the delivery backlog.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers and testers to clarify requirements and support solution development.
  • Identify scope gaps, delivery risks, assumptions, constraints and cross-project dependencies.
  • Assess the business and customer impact of proposed solution or requirement changes.

About You

You are a commercially aware and technically capable Business Analyst with experience delivering digital products or customer-facing technology initiatives.

You can move comfortably between customer needs, business processes and technical delivery detail. You ask the right questions, identify ambiguity early and produce requirements that give delivery teams the clarity required to progress confidently.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated Business Analysis experience within complex digital or technology delivery environments.
  • Strong experience supporting customer-facing or commercially focused digital initiatives.
  • Proven capability across discovery, requirements analysis, solution validation, testing and implementation.
  • Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Strong user story, acceptance criteria and business process documentation skills.
  • Experience analysing customer journeys, business rules, data flows and system interactions.
  • Ability to translate between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Experience working with product owners, architects, engineers, designers and testers.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery, backlog refinement and iterative development.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-moving delivery portfolio.
