Take on a specialist engineering role focused on the integration, certification and safety assurance of armaments and explosive ordnance systems within a complex maritime acquisition environment.

You’ll provide technical authority across design assurance, certification, engineering governance and acceptance activities, with a particular focus on explosive ordnance magazines, ammunition storage systems and associated platform integration.

The Role

As an Armaments & Explosive Ordnance Engineer, you’ll act as a specialist SME across armaments and EO integration, working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure technical, safety and regulatory requirements are met.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist engineering advice across armaments, explosive ordnance and magazine integration
  • Conducting technical assessments, design reviews, design acceptance and certification activities
  • Supporting the certification and safety assurance of ship-borne and land-based EO magazines
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables and supporting hazard, risk, verification and validation activities
  • Contributing to engineering governance, technical baselines, configuration management and assurance documentation

About You

We’re particularly interested in:

  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience with ship-borne or land-based magazine certification
  • Experience across armaments, explosive ordnance, weapons systems or ammunition storage
  • Experience within maritime acquisition, shipbuilding, sustainment, land systems or other complex engineering programs
  • Experience supporting relevant Defence engineering environments and stakeholders
  • A current NV1 security clearance or higher
  • Experience exercising Delegated Technical Authority, working within an Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO), or holding/working towards CPEng would be highly regarded.
