Are you ready to make an impact in the Global Energy sector? Join our dynamic team based in the Eastern Metropolitan Perth area as a DevOps Engineer. This position offers a six-month contract with the potential for extension or transition into a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a dynamic team of software and control systems engineers to deliver cutting-edge products in the heavy haul rail market.
  • Take charge of the Software release process for a diverse portfolio of control systems products.
  • Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines supporting the controls software development team.
  • Administer and oversee the software issue tracking system, including user and workflow management.
  • Prioritize and address issues, requirements, and test cases.
  • Develop and maintain a robust software configuration management system for the product portfolio.
  • Educate team members on software development lifecycle procedures and best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and operating software product development environments, particularly within an OEM enterprise.
  • Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure automation tools such as Shell, Python, and Terraform.
  • Knowledgeable in configuration and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines using both on-premises and cloud-based automation servers like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Deep understanding of the Amazon Web Services platform.
  • Familiarity with project management and program development tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience in product development or systems engineering in the Rail industry is highly advantageous.
