
Application Solution Architect

We’re looking for a visionary Application Solution Architect to drive strategic andtechnical direction across high-impact initiatives in Application and Integration Architecture.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of the university’s digital transformation – crafting architecture artefacts, steering complex migration strategies, and overseeing the decommissioning and archiving of legacy systems.
Key activities
- Architect robust, scalable, and business-aligned solutions that shape the university’s application ecosystem.
- Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, standards, roadmaps, and organisational objectives.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to turn strategic goals into tangible solutions.
- Lead technical readiness planning – from design through to safe and timely delivery.
- Oversee data migration strategy and resolve complex migration issues.
- Collaborate with the integration team to ensure seamless interoperability and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain a suite of architecture artefacts, including designs, patterns, guidelines, and reference architectures.
Skills & experience
- Proven expertise in Application and Integration Architecture, with a strong focus on designing end-to-end application ecosystems.
- Confidence in engaging and influencing senior business leaders – with professionalism, clarity, and diplomacy.
- Exposure to modern and emerging technologies – including AI and cloud platforms – and how they can be leveraged to transform business models.
- Understanding of API-driven design and integration methodologies.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to move fluidly between high-level architecture and detailed design.
- A practical, principle-based approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
