We are seeking a highly capable Technical Writer to support a major infrastructure project for a WA Government transport agency. This role will focus on the development of a comprehensive Technical Handbook that captures the end-to-end operational delivery model and supports the ongoing asset management of complex rail systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of a detailed Technical Handbook tailored to the client’s operations and asset management requirements.
  • Document end-to-end operations delivery models aligned with contractual and customer expectations.
  • Translate the government department requirements into clearly defined processes and models that support service delivery and long-term asset maintenance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather input, validate processes, and ensure the handbook reflects current and future-state operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in defining and documenting Operations Delivery Models at a detailed level.
  • Strong understanding of Asset Management methodologies, ideally aligned with their strategic approach.
  • Ability to interpret and refine contractual/customer requirements into technical and operational content.
  • Prior experience or exposure to Rail operations is highly desirable.
  • Confident communicator with experience collaborating across technical and business teams.

Key Stakeholder Engagements:

  • Work with the Microsoft SDM for the client to ensure alignment with their requirements and gain feedback on draft content.
  • Liaise with Project Product Engineers to gather product-specific details (e.g., routines, MOPs).
  • Engage with the client (via the SDM) to clarify customer and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Global Delivery Centre (GDC) to adapt standard GDC process flows for specific scenarios.
